Volunteer Liability

• Volunteers and Liability: the Federal Volunteer Protection Act does not eliminate the possibility of a lawsuit, but it protects volunteers under many circumstances.  It does not however, protect the nonprofit or governmental agency the person is volunteering for.  It only protects the volunteers themselves.
