Join us in celebrating National Volunteer Appreciation Week by thanking an Extension Master Gardener Volunteer. These amazing, talented, energetic, generous, enthusiastic volunteers are working across the state of North Carolina to support community gardens.

Helping neighbors to design and build community gardens by facilitating planning meetings, identifying additional partners, and guide construction

Serving as Mentors and Coaches on planting, pest management, and harvesting

Educating by answering questions, posting on social media, writing articles, posting to portals

Teaching workshops, conferences

Many thanks to each of the Extension Master Gardeners doing this important work supporting people in feeding themselves and their community, growing neighborhood connections and resilience, creating an accessible beautiful destination, improving physical and emotional health, and growing skills and pride.
