County Local Food Campaign Toolkit Extension agents and community organizers can use a County 10% Campaign for local food education efforts in their county. Agents can tap into the marketing and promotion platform and local food data tracking software of the statewide NC 10% Campaign. By utilizing existing templates and strategies included in the toolkit, agents can easily run a local food campaign that fits into their existing extension work and that assists consumers, farmers, and businesses in their counties. Check out the how-to toolkit and farmer profiles on the County Local Food Campaigns page.
Grower-Buyer Connections Guide Extension agents and community organizers can host Grower-Buyer Connections events, which are designed to connect individual growers to individual buyers in a respectful & efficient setting that can lead to a sales relationship.
Farm to University Guide for Extension Agents

N.C. Cooperative Extension Agents work with universities to increase local food purchases, prepare farmers to sell to large institutions, and support local food education on campus. Extension Agents can use this guide to inform their programming. The information is based on lessons learned working with campus communities over five years in conjunction with two NC 10% Campaign project collaborations: UFoods and the Local Food Ambassador Program

Farm to University Local Food Ambassador Guide This manual can guide campuses and community organizations on how to build a local food program around a paid student organizer and educator that works with a campus-based team and establishes relationships between farmers and food service providers.
Farm to University Food Systems and Local Food Programs Guide Students, staff, faculty, farmers, and community educators can work together to increase local foods on university and college campuses. This guide is designed to showcase some of the local food initiatives of the UFoods partner schools.
Local Food Film Screening Toolkit

The NC 10% Campaign has partnered with Vittles Films to create a series of film shorts that spotlight local food heroes in North Carolina. Use these films as a starting point for local food discussions on farm-to-school, farm-to-institution, local food infrastructure, underutilized seafood species, economic development through local foods, and general local food topics. The toolkit will assist you in screening this film series. The toolkit may also be helpful in screening other films and videos.
